Scholastic eCatalog Website
We have become increasingly aware of the difficulty that the students and parents are having trying to navigate the very large quiz lists.  We have added a Scholastic eCatalog website.  On the right hand side under the calendar is a Class Link that you can click on that will take you directly to the site.  You may also scroll down towards the bottom of this page and there are instructions on how to navigate eCatalog before you open the site.  This will be very helpful as there are many options for looking up books.  Scholastic is a book club so make sure you check to see that there is a quiz available. This website can be opened up at or away from school.  If you have any questions please send me an e-mail or drop by after school.
SCHOLASTIC READING LISTS
See CLASS FILES at bottom of this page for complete lists.
Reading Logs
Attention all students!  In order to take a Scholastic Reading Counts quiz in the library or computer lab you MUST have a completed reading log listing the book on which you intend to take a quiz.  Middle school students should have either a "Books I Have Read" log or the "Student Reading Log" (both files available for printing in the class files section below).  We will NOT accept the weekly log that you turn in on Tuesdays.  Elementary/Primary students may use the logs they are given in class or a copy of the "Student Reading Log" (file available for printing in the class files section below).

Scholastic Reading Counts Quiz Lists
The most recent Scholastic Reading Counts Quiz List files have been added to the Class Files. Each reading level has a separate file.  This was done to minimize the time required to create and upload the files as we now have access to over 50,000 quizzes.

You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to access these files. You can get a free download by clicking on the link in Class Links below this announcement.
Library Policies
1. Everyday classroom behavior is expected in the library at all times.  Infractions will be given if these rules are broken.
2.  Library cards for K-4 are kept in the library.  Students in grades 5-8 must bring their cards to the library on the day that they have class or when checking out a book on any other day.
3.  Books are checked out for 1 week in grades K-4, and 2 weeks in grades 5-8.
4.  Students will be charged a fine of $.10 per day for books not returned on time.  They will also be charged to replaced a lost or damaged book.  Those who consistently have fines/ or late books may receive infractions, detentions, or lose the priveleges of the library and their parents will be contacted until the problem is resolved.
5.  All students must have their reading logs to take a test.  There will be NO EXCEPTIONS made.
6.  Test can be taken during library time and after school Monday through Wednesday.  No test will be allowed after school on Thursday and Friday.  There will be a limit of 2 test per day.
